We are not writers as you will soon see. We are just the neighbors that live around the block, hoping to have a friendly chat over the fence line. We hope to become friends and keep you informed with what’s happening around town and beyond and we hope you feel free to fill us in on whatever little secrets you have found out.
We have created this page to highlight the many events and activities etc. that our Twin Lakes and surrounding communities have to offer. This part of the country is so beautiful and the abundant wild life and natural settings lend to countless outdoor activities. We have two large lakes, Bull Shoals, and Lake Norfork. Three rivers, the Bull Shoals National River, North Fork River and the White River. Our community is nestled in North Central Arkansas within the Ozark Mountain Country. It’s a sportsman’s paradise, but then … there are the rest of us and we want something to do too.

We have lived here in the Ozarks for many years now , but originally came from a major city. Culture shock to say the least so the quest for something to do in this area became a constant hunt. Looking in the local calendar of events you might notice Bingo at the Elks lodge or Blood Mobile in front of Wal-Mart, perhaps a singles night at the bowling alley. Upon investigation one might find that most listings under these calendars are aimed at the 70 and above residents of our community. Everyone needs something to do …. However I would like to be THE COUGAR at a singles event not the youngin. So off to the quest for ANYTHING happening in or around our area. “If it’s happening in or around Mountain Home, We want to know about it”
As I’m sure we will miss several things that may happen around our community, we encourage and invite you to please let us know if you have or know of an event that you would like listed. There’s something for everyone out there we just have to find it. Were hoping that this is an interactive experience for you and that you and your friends contribute just as much information on our site as we do.
